What is the German Wolf Association?

The "Deutsche Wolfsgemeinschaft / German Wolf Association e.V." is a charitable, non-profit organization founded in early 1999 and is registered as such since March 3rd, 1999.

The aim of the GWA is the protection of the wolf in the wild and in captivity, its research and -most importantly- the education of the general public about this threatened predator. Therefore, we pay special attention to collecting, archiving and spreading news and knowledge about the wolf and its environment. You can read more about our mission right here.

How does the GWA finance its projects?

Being a non-profit organization, we need membership fees and donations to carry out our projects. In the first few months, most of the expenses are being paid by the managing committee privately, because as a new association, the means are very limited of course.

It is foreseeable that most of the projects can't be carried out without sufficient financial means. Therefore we ask you to support us and our projects with your donations, if you would like to do something for the wolf and its future. Donate whatever you can afford - no donation is too small and everything is highly appreciated. All donations given to us are tax deductable.
